If you are a new patient then you will need to first book a 1 hour initial consultation. During this session we will discuss your problem along with your general health and any medical conditions you may have to ensure that treatment is suitable for you. I will then assess your general movements as well as any areas of concern to determine what the problem is and to decide how best to treat it. During this session you will receive some treatment but how long for, will depend on the complexity of the problem and the amount of time taken up for the assessment. You may be asked to dress down to your underwear during this session so please read the dress code section below.
If you have any x-ray or scan results then, if possible, please bring them to your appointment.
Anyone under the age of 16 must have a parent or legal guardian with them when attending appointments.
If you have any questions about treatment sessions or if you have any disabilities and are unable to climb stairs then please let me know.
After the initial consultation you will only need 30 minute follow up appointments. These will consist mainly of treatment along with discussing how your treatment is progressing and reassessing any problem areas.
During your treatment session you may be asked to dress down to your underwear so please wear appropriate clothing. Shorts and sports bra are suitable if you would prefer. This is so I can assess how the body is compensating for any problems you have to enable a more effective treatment. If you are uncomfortable with this or want to know more details then please contact me.
If you have any new issues that need assessing and treating then please inform me before booking your next appointment to ensure there is enough time allocated.
Please give at least 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel your appointment. There is a 50% charge if you cancel within 24 hours or do not attend your appointment. If you do not give enough notice then there may not be enough time to fill that appointment space or someone waiting for an emergency appointment may miss out.
